I’m George Canty, a former long-term advisor to the House Republican Leadership in Washington, DC. My big interest is politics, but from the outside in — how cultural, economic, business, and social trends are changing politics and reshaping policy. I’m also fascinated by change — how to plan it, how to lead it. I live in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where I’m setting up a firm to project policy trends and scenarios over a two-to-six year time horizon, and writing a book on how leadership lessons from Ronald Reagan can revitalize the Republican Party.
